Who are you while you’re waiting

I once heard it said – ‘Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you’re waiting.’

It’s true.

Right now you are waiting.

Waiting for something to change in your life.

Waiting for the promise.

Waiting for the new.

Waiting for the adventure to begin.

Waiting for the pain to end.

But how we posture ourselves in the season of waiting determines how long we have to stay there.

God looks at our hearts to see if we can not only endure the waiting but bear good fruit in that place.

In that place of barrenness.

In that place of lack.

In that place of loneliness.

In whatever that place is that you are waiting in.

How are you acting while you’re waiting?

Act with grace and love.

And wait with your eyes fixed on the prize that is Jesus Christ.

Let the hope for the future that He has promised you lace your thoughts.

And let the faith that comes from knowing He doesn’t forsake His own, strengthen the meditations of your heart.

It is only a matter of time before the waiting will end.

And the promise will begin…
